It is the place to begin your discovery of the beauty and fascinating history of Mount Magazine. The visitor center features exhibits on the geology, history, flora, and fauna of Mount Magazine, offers daily audiovisual programs, and has a large wildlife observation area overlooking a native plant garden. This is the starting place for many of the park's guided walks, special workshops and wildlife and history programs. The barrier-free building also serves as an orientation and staging area for school groups visiting the park. Located across from the Greenfield Picnic Area at the junction of Scenic Highway 309 and the road to Cameron Bluff Overlook, the campground and The Lodge at Mount Magazine, the visitor center is your gateway to Mount Magazine State Park.
