Teacher's Handbook

Mount Magazine State Park is an exciting and educational experience awaiting teachers and students. There is no better way to learn about a resource than to visit that resource. Trail walks led by knowledgeable professionals and living history demonstrations are valuable methods for interpreting nature and history.

Park Interpreters have developed programs specifically about the mountain's resources. These programs correlate to the Arkansas Curriculum Frameworks for Life Science, Earth Science, and Arkansas History.

A handbook is available for teachers interested in scheduling fieldtrips. It describes programs, frameworks they meet, facilities, and tips for safe, successful fieldtrips.
