Horseback Riding

Arkansas's tallest mountain is the site of Huckleberry Mountain Trail, a multi-use trail spanning 34 miles for use by horsemen, ATV's, mountain bikers, and backpackers. The trail can be accessed at the northeast rock quarry. There are three loops that cross creeks and connect Mount Magazine with Huckleberry Mountain. Camping on Mount Magazine is allowed on the portions of trail within the Ozark National Forest.

ATV Guide Service

Three-hour and five-hour guided ATV tours of the Huckleberry Mountain Trail are provided through Schluterman's ATV Tours. Tours include the following:

  • A guided tour by a knowledgeable and experienced trail guide
  • A well-maintained all-terrain vehicle
  • Training on the operation of the all-terrain vehicle
  • Safety equipment consisting of helmet and goggles--or you can provide your own. Either way, both must be worn at all times while riding
  • An area trail map
